With 15 CDs to their name, an outstanding all-star line-up and numerous television appearances, the Ludwig Seuss Band has grown in recent years into one of the most interesting German blues and zydeco bands.

Pianist and accordion virtuoso Ludwig Seuss is also a permanent member of the Spider Murphy Gang. But here it does not sound like the Spiders — here it sounds like Louisiana!

With his own band, Ludwig Seuss blends classic piano boogie with jump blues and Louisiana rock'n'roll. Since he also imported zydeco from New Orleans and the band behind him rages like the deepest Louisiana swamp, there has been no stopping the success of this band and its extremely danceable sound.

A Ludwig Seuss concert is always a first-class experience. More than a concert — an emotional journey to New Orleans and through the southern states. Whether you dance or simply listen and enjoy, it is an atmosphere you have to have experienced. And when Ludwig Seuss really gets going on his accordion, he draws in even the last listener, and everyone is convinced: we have arrived in the American South, and New Orleans is just around the corner.

Seuss has been the man at the keyboards of the Spider Murphy Gang since 1987. Beyond that, his solo career is devoted to his passion for cajun and zydeco. He is considered one of the most accomplished pianists/organists in the country and one of the best zydeco accordionists east of the Mississippi — LUDWIG SEUSS has long played in the top groove league.

Shared appearances with Abi Wallenstein, Axel Zwingenberger, Al Jones, Nick Woodland, Louisiana Red, Mojo Bluesband, Popsy Dixon and others testify to absolute quality and professionalism. The band has been a guest at renowned jazz and blues festivals in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
